I Hope you all are having a great week. It’s that time of the year when the weather is changing! The sun is out and we are all getting itchy feet. Anxiously planning your weekend Getaway? Or… maybe you’re in great need of a city break.
Below are my Key Fashion Essentials that I think should be in your suitcase!
1. Denim shorts & a pair of Jeans
A comfortable pair of denim shorts is a must have! For one, it’s easy to pack and very versatile. Wear it with a basic t-shirt and a pair of trainers for a day outopt for solid colors or simple patterns like micro floral and stripes. This can include basic blacks, whites and grey t-shirts. Think little black dresses (LBD) or little white dresses (LWD) sight seeing. You can also get beach ready by changing into sandals and a bikini top. The key trick to travelling light with denim is to pack soft jeans or jeggings. Thinner jeans are easy to fold and they also act as a perfect mix and match item.
2. Think Comfy!
Being comfortable and stylish when travelling has become a lot easier now that the “Sneaker culture has been embraced by the fashion community” A classic pair of black converse always works well for me. However, you can stay on trend with Adidas white tennis shoes or a pair of Nike’s Air max. The aim is to opt for a pair that you can dress up or down. Your feet will be your primary mode of transportation. So let’s stay comfortable and chic!
3. Dressing up your look!
Whenever I travel for just a short break, I always pack a one pair of heels. 90% of the time, my choice will be a nude pair of heels. A pair of nude heels goes with almost any outfit. They also help to elongate your legs and polish the rest of your outfit.
I also add a scarf because it double as a pillow on the airplane, it covers my shoulders if I need a wrap and it’s a great accessory.
Totes are perfect for traveling because they fold up and pack easily into a larger bag but have lots of room for anything you might need.
Sunglasses are a great way to stay stylish. Quick tip I learned online is “Go for frames that are big enough to protect your eyes with 100 percent UVA/UVB protection to filter out those harsh rays.
5. Versatile Outfits
A simple, lightweight style that’s not too dressy can adapt to any occasion. You can also get away with being an outfit repeater if you opt for solid colors or simple patterns like micro floral and stripes. This can include basic blacks, whites and grey t-shirts. Think little black dresses (LBD) or little white dresses (LWD)
